Things I Love: Lulu and Georgia

I can peruse home decor websites for hours on end. Seriously, if you could just ask Austin. One of my favorite home decor websites to look around on is Lulu and Georgia. I can get lost in their rugs and pillows for quite some time! I love the variety that this site offers in not only style but in price range, as well. During a recent visit to Lulu and Georgia, I stumbled upon some things that I'm currently loving, as they all remind me of summer! And my current color obsession is orange and chartreuse [maybe that's because this first house living room is taking shape with those two colors! More on that soon!]. Check out a few things I eyed on my last visit:
1. This jute rug adds such great texture. And jute is wonderful because it's typically a little softer than sisal.
2. I love statement mirrors; make them in a gold finish like this one, and I'm sold!
3. Throw blankets are something I need to start investing in; this one would look great thrown over my neutral sofa.
4. I love the contemporary look of this graphic pillow.
5. Lamps like these are my weakness!
6. This pillow does a great job of bringing summer inside.

Do you love bringing the seasons inside, too? Pillows are a great way to do that, which is why I tend to stick to pretty neutral furniture/rugs. I love to add color and pattern in pillows, window treatments, pillows, lamps, and other accessories. This also allows me to make changes to my decor, if wanted, pretty easily -- buy a few new pillows, a new throw, and voilĂ ! It can be that easy.

On a different note, I'm still in San Antonio at the ISTE conference, but am heading back today. I've learned many great educational tools that I'm excited to implement in my classroom and I even received a FREE Windows Surface tablet! I'm pretty excited about that! But I'm tired, both mentally and physically, and am ready to get home and pick up the project I left incomplete. I'll be sharing it soon as I'm almost done!

Happy hump day!
