Fall and Halloween Decor: Part 2

As you saw yesterday, I turned some ideas into actions and created my very first fall tablescape. I was so pleased with the outcome that I kind of just let this seasonal decor ball keep rolling... Right on over to the buffet in the dining room. Hey, it was looking a little bare, so I thought I'd share the love. Lucky for me, I'm loving it just as much as the table! I've always loved Halloween (it's one of my favorite holidays!), so it was nice to be able to bring Halloween into the dining room with the buffet.

Take a look for yourself:

I'm not sure if you've ever tried working with fake spider webs, but let me tell you -- it's no fun! I don't know why, but I had quite the time with it. I never could get it to look awesome, but I think the point is still easily understood...

I think the trees are my favorite pieces among it all! I originally bought one, not quite sure how it'd be used, just because I loved it so much. But once I got to putting it all together, I quickly realized another would be great and this would be the perfect spot!

Source List (Buffet):
  • Glittery trees: Michael's (currently on sale, too! Marked down 40% from their original $20/tree price tag)
  • Witches' hats: Home Goods
  • Spider webs and spiders: Michael's
  • Pumpkin: Farmer's Market
  • "Boo" banner: Joseph-Beth Booksellers

The best part of it all was how fast the buffet took! Other than time spent buying my decorations (remember, this is a first house so I'm slowly buying and collecting seasonal decor one year at a time!), putting this together took no more than 10 minutes! Most of that time was spent hanging the spider webs. That's the best of both worlds, isn't it? When projects can quickly and easily be done and still yield satisfying results! Next year, I'll be able to just pull out these decorations and place them wherever I'd like and violĂ ! It'll be done.

Unfortunately, most of the buffet's decor will have to be taken down after Halloween. But I've already been trying to think of other things that can fit in its place for Thanksgiving! It will seem so bare without it all. Any suggestions for Thanksgiving?

    1. Thanks!! I definitely have enjoyed doing it. It's a perk for Frank, too -- he really likes playing with the white pumpkins... You'll have the space one of these days!
