My Cat "Ate" My Charger... No, Really

So Frankie did, in fact, chew my computer charger to the point that it, unfortunately, isn't with us anymore. Mind you, this is the THIRD charger this has happened to. You'd think I would have learned my lesson by now -- put the charger away when I'm not using it -- but nope, not me. He's very sneaky about it. He's smart enough to not show much interest in it when I'm around. So I think, "Oh, he's past that phase... I can leave it laying across the floor." Then BAM! I plug my charger in the next day, and it's fried. I also give him kuddos for doing it very slowly over time, a few very tiny bite marks here and there; it's like he saves the real damage for one night or day when I'm not around. I come back in and you'd think he'd gnawed on it all night. And maybe he does.

So you're probably wondering the relevance of this story, right? Well all of my pictures, for my next post, were loaded and ready to go on my, now dead, computer. And of all nights for Frank to decide to destroy yet another charger, it was Monday. Happy Labor Day to me. So Amazon politely informed me, today, that my new charger is on its way! I'm hoping it'll be here tomorrow, when I get home from work, so I can get back to sharing pictures.

On another note, I'm wondering how motivated people stay, well, motivated? For example, I work all day, come home, and I'm done, out. I can't even find the motivation in me to clean my seriously in need of a major clean bedroom. Seriously, it's beyond desperate for some cleaning. I want to keep the house projects going, but I can't seem to find any other time (that I don't mind not sitting on the couch, watching Frasier reruns) than the weekends and I want that to change. I'd like to work on a project, occassionally, throughout the week, as well. I can't even begin to imagine how working moms do it -- which makes me think there has to be a way. Any "how to stay motivated" tips??

Hope you all have had a nice, slightly shorter work week!

PS -- A new couch is on its way! (Yay!!) We'll see how it turns out -- fingers crossed! I'll share all the details once it's in.
